MIXER:Can’t open audio: No available audio device, running in nosound mode. But no matter what i do, i keep getting this message in dosbox.log: For the whole day, i’ve been trying to compile/configure DOSBox in a way so i could play games with sound. Here is the status window from dosbox and I’ve added my config file as well. I’ve checked my sound mixer as well but it seems to be fine. I’ve tried several things like configuring the setup of the game however none of the settings dont seem to work. However whenever I try to emulate a game, I get no sound at all. ![]() I’ve downloaded dosbox in order to play some of my favourite games. Hello I’m fairly new to the emulation zone and I’m quite enjoying it so far. Running dosbox with -conf switch pointing to the configuration, like I already posted above, should give you the sound. Then change the midiconfig/config line under midi section to that port. You can test the configuration playing a midi file, like above.Īfter that check what ports the synthesizer you choose occupies with ‘aconnect -l’. Remember to install timidity-freepats for timidity or soundfont-fluid for fluidsynth. I tested these yesterday, you may need to change them. Read the appropriate manuals for those applications for more explanation.
